Amateur Radio License Classes and Study Materials
Periodically throughout the year Valley Center Amateur Radio Club offers free license preparation classes. These classes cover all of the exam questions with explanations for each. The classes are a adjunct for study and should not be considered the only method of study. There are also a variety of online study materials as well as books, etc.
This section will cover the necessary study materials and classes.
The VCARC classes are provided free of charge and are given in North County San Diego including Carlsbad, Valley Center, Escondido, Pala, and other locations. The classes are conducted Thursday evenings from 6:00pm until 8:00pm for 5 consecutive weeks or on two half consecutive Saturdays. The exam is given the week following the last class (week 6).
